Wooden ABC and Numbers

This might sound a little strange, but we drive around.  Actually, we drive around a lot. When I say a lot I mean probably a half hour once a week.  It is something that our family does to unwind or just go and do something.  We like to discover parts of our town we did not know existed.

Well, while driving around last night my daughter 'E' said, "let's find things that start with 'A' and go through the alphabet."  At first we were a little reluctant, and then it began.  We found the letter 'A' on a sign and went through the alphabet twice.  I honestly, could not believe how hard it was to find a few of the letters.  We drove around until we found them though and 'E' just so happen to get the hardest ones on the last time through.

I love my kids and really tried hard to find things to do with them that they like.  And, I feel like it is pretty hard for me to do 'their things'.  So, I am slowly learning to be a child again.  Of course, I would only do this for them!  I know my kids are only young once, and I want them to have as many happy memories as possible, and if driving around looking for letters makes my kids happy and gives them a good memory.  Then, I have no qualms about doing it!
