My daughter 'E' has really pretty hair. It's blond, straight and thick. However, it does get quite tangled. 'E's hair is especially tangled during the summer. We just recently ran out of Hair De-Tangler. So, I used our old family recipe to make some more.
I had a 16 oz bottle. I added 1 tablespoon of Suave conditioner and 16 oz of hot water. Pour in the container of your choice. Make sure you squeeze the bottle a little before you close it up because the bottle will expand and the Leave-In Conditioner will foam up and come out the top. I personally, squeeze the bottle once it is shook up to get the bubbles out and then I put the cap back on.
I brush 'E's hair with a larger brush, when you use the combs they tend to pull hair. And, since her hair is so thick I only run a comb through her hair after I use the brush first.
