Letters to God

A long time ago, I started writing letters to God.  I know this is not for everyone, however, it is for me.  Writing letters to God makes me feel like I am giving something to 'My Father'.  I write letters to family and friends and I feel that God deserves them too.  This is something I started when I was really young.  However, when I used to write them I did not feel that God got them until they were ripped up and thrown away.  It was as if the the life of the letter was over and the letter went to Heaven. 

I know this is pretty silly, however, I was pretty little when I thought this.  It wasn't until just recently that I started doing this again.  The letters that I write to God are usually never read again.  I hand write them to give them more meaning and put them in an envelope titled 'God'.  Some of the letters are just thank you letters, saying 'thanks' for everything that I am blessed with.  I know that some may think this 'silly' or insignificant, it is just something that I do.  Writing the letters gives me peace on something that I really need an answer to or something that I may be praying really hard about.

I hope you give this idea some thought.  It's not anything that anyone has to know, and it gives you a closer relationship to God.  And, honestly, I feel so much better after I write a letter to 'God'.  I guess this is how I decompress every so often.
