My 'Handy Dandy' Shop Vac

Vacmaster 2.5 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac
Lightweight, powerful and portable
My daughter 'E' lost her first tooth about 2-years-ago.  She was so excited that it was loose.  It was definitely one of those memorable moments...
The tooth had been loose for months.  I personally, cannot look at someone that has a loose tooth, it reminds me of nails on a chalk board. YUCK!

'E' had been wiggling that tooth with her tongue for the longest time.  I never thought that tooth was going to come out.  Now, at the time 'E' was in kindergarten and it was 'the cool thing' to loose a tooth.  Now, 'E' had her adult tooth coming in behind the baby tooth.  In fact, the tooth was almost all the way out and 'E' had not lost that baby tooth yet.  My husband and I were thinking, "This has to be bad right, we should pull the tooth out!"

And, the day finally came.  It was around 8pm (the time my daughter should have been in bed, meaning that she was a little emotional with being tired.)  Of course this mom was not going to be the one to pull the tooth out.  So, my awesome husband was in the bathroom being the hero.  Just then I heard the most terrible cry and screaming coming from the bathroom.  Then, my husband started walking out, very slowly.  He had the most upset look on his face and then he said, "The tooth fell down the drain."

We were all devastated.  So, I walk into the bathroom with a mission ready to tear the entire sink off of the counter with a sledge hammer to get that first tooth!  Now, all kinds of things were running through my head, when it hit me like a ton of bricks.  I yelled into Nate who was in the kitchen, "Go get the shop-vac!"  Nate came walking in with the shop-vac giving me this 'YOU ARE CRAZY' look.  So, we turned the shop-vac on, sucked all kinds of things up and shut it off.  I stayed with 'E' trying to calm her down will my husband sifted through the gunk that came out of the sink.

Nate came walking back into the bathroom about five minutes later and said, "I don't know how you did it but you got the tooth out of the sink!"  We were so relieved!  Thank God he sent me the idea to use the shop-vac.  I am pretty sure that if the tooth had been any heavier it would not have gone up into the shop-vac.

**Note to the readers, make sure that you close the sink drain when pulling teeth over the sink.  Also, you can use the shop-vac to unclog drains, instead of using chemicals.**
