My husband Nate was home from work on his lunch and was sitting on the couch. Well, at that exact moment my son 'T' who was 18 months at the time was drawing on his 'Doodle Bear'. Honestly, not one of my brightest ideas was to give a kid less than 2 -years-old a 'CLOTH WRITING MARKER'. My husband was resting on the couch he just so happen to have a head-ache and was trying to get rid of it when. When he sat up he had permanent marker all over his khaki dress pants... He was a little upset and I felt pretty bad. I know it wasn't my fault but my husband only had one pair of khaki pants at the time. So, I did a little research on the internet, something I do ALL THE TIME! LOL! And, I found a site that showed several ways to get rid of permanent marker stains. Here is the site!
Here are a few tips of what I have learned with removing permanent marker:
Make sure that you start when it is as FRESH as possible. The longer you wait the harder it will be to remove.
And, lastly make sure your alcohol is in a spray bottle. I have alcohol all over the house in spray bottles. This way you can control how much alcohol you are using instead of dumping it on the clothing.
Each time you spray the alcohol the permanent marker will fade. Keep spraying! And, eventually it will come off!
Sunscreen also removes permanent marker from most surfaces :o)
