Complimenting Your Spouse!

Lately, I have discovered that every time my husband says this one little phrase, it EMPOWERS me.  To be honest, I have no idea why.  And, to be even more honest I do not even know that if someone else said it that it would have the same effect.  Although, I do notice my husband saying this phrase more, but not too much.  I feel he says it when it is due and at the right times.  This one little phrase is so simple.  And, it made me think, if you know what phrase empowers you shouldn't your spouse say it to you?  Or, better yet do you even know what phrase would empower you?  Is there something that is said to you even during the smallest victories that could make you feel like climbing a mountain?

Well, all my husband says is, "Good for you!"  That's it, three very small words when put together in the right order make me feel stronger than I ever thought possible.  However, since I have taken this phrase to heart, I wonder how I would feel if he said it to someone else?  To be honest I don't know.  It feels like it's my phrase, something that he made just for me.  It makes me feel like he's proud of me, happy to be with me, glad that I do things for him to say this special little phrase and most of all it makes me feel SPECIAL! 

So, I encourage you to find that special phrase for you and your spouse.  Try to find something that when it's said it makes you feel loved in all aspects of your life.  It's the least you could do for each other.  And, when you've had a bad day and the phrase is said, it just might make the load a little lighter!
