About 13 years ago I gave blood for the first time, while I was in High school. While I was giving blood the assistant principal of my school was sitting next to me giving blood as well. Only when the nurse poked him with the larger needle he sprayed blood everywhere. Now being the assistant principal of a school means ties, and dress shirts.
The nurse did not seem to get upset at all and told him that to get rid of the blood off of his nice clean WHITE dress shirt all he had to do was use peroxide.
Now, I personally, was not fazed by the blood my mom always did my laundry growing up. However, I did know that most of the time if skinned a knee, or picked a scab whatever I was wearing at the time was never seen again. The assistant principal came up to me the next day and told me that the peroxide worked great and his dress shirt was clean!
Since, that very important moment in my life I have saved a lot of clothes. I am not sure what the problem is but every time I either get blood drawn, or give blood I get blood on my shirts and sometimes my pants. And, my kids are well, kids and seem to get blood on their clothes from numerous catastrophic events. So, to say the least it works very well.
