For the last SEVERAL months I have been working on my 2-year-old 'T's counting. Well, let's just say we get to 3... And, then it all falls apart, 7, 9, 5, 2, 3... I have tried so hard, I count everything. I bet I have counted to 10 more than anyone in the entire world has ever counted to 10 (LOL maybe a little over dramatic). However, you get the point. 'T' is just not interested in counting AT ALL. Now, you give him a picture to color and he does great. His hand-eye coordination is really great. I am actually very impressed on his hand-eye coordination. And, he loves to color. We have counted crayons, markers, jumps, skips you name it we count it!

Chocolate Chips |
Until, one day I decided to add a little initiative... I have chocolate chips in my fridge AT ALL TIMES. There is not a time that I do not have chocolate chips in my fridge. Usually for the the grab some thing sweet and quick without the kids spotting me... Or, the husband for that matter... And, then it hit me we will count chocolate chips and see what happens. Well, we will just say that by day 2 of counting the chocolate chips we can get 5 now! I swear if I could have done a back-flip I would have. I was so excited I screamed and 'T' laughed at me! We called everyone! I even told my husband's grandfather we get to 20 and I may just have to bake a cake! And, I am not joking!
Now, I know that chocolate chips are not the healthiest choice, nor the most organic. However, I do need to find what works for my son and if counting chocolate chips and eating them everyday for awhile works. I will just have to suffer and eat chocolate chips everyday for my son. :)
