Removing Super Glue

Ok, since I just did the post about Super Glue, I thought I should go into a little bit more detail about Super Glue...  For instance the bottle to my left is my FAVORITE for of Super Glue.  Why?!  You ask, because, it LASTS FOREVER!  And, it has a trigger on the side of it.  On each side is the blue grated sides, those are the triggers.  So, you don't have to squeeze a tube and have it go all over the place.  I do want to tell you a couple of things about the Super Glue before you use it...

1.  Read the directions...  Seriously, just read them it will take like 3 minutes (if you are a really slow reader) to read them and it will save you a lot of time.  TRUST ME!

2.  Read the directions...

Ok, so here is my Super Glue story:

I was trying to glue something and now I don't even know what it was.  The bottle above is the one that I was using.  Well, I was a little upset because the bottle seemed to be empty...  And, I know for a fact that I had just bought it.  Well, this particular Super Glue bottle has a spinning head.  When you can no longer push the trigger for glue to come out you spin the head ONE TINY CLICK, and it puts glue back into the trigger.  The trigger will tighten up again and you will have more Super Glue.

Well, I accidentally, turned the trigger a little too much and Super Glue shot out at me on my hands and all over my thighs...  So, needless to say I had Super Glue all over my body.  And, it dried and it was horrible.  Well, that was until I removed the Super Glue from my body...

A nail file and nail polish remover is how you remove Super Glue.  That is how I got it off.  I removed the Super Glue with a lot of filing and a lot of scrubbing.  I think I may have had a few small pieces left on there that I removed the next day.  However, it was easier than I thought.  I remembered using those fake nails when I was little and the nails coming off and having the chunks of Super Glue still stuck to my nails.  I knew that the glue would come off by filing it.

So, if you are ever in my Super Glue situation (and I sincerely hope not), make sure that you have a nail file close by!

P.S. The nail file will remove Super Glue from clothes!!!
