Noiseless Fun?!

Now, do not be mislead by 'Noiseless Fun'.  What I really mean is that the 'toys do not make any noise NOT the children.  I was making smoothies one morning for 'T' and I, and it was too thick for us to just drink out of the cup.  So, I go into the cupboard and get a straw.  As I am grabbing the straw I grab an extra one and start drumming all over 'T's head.

Well, I hate to admit it.  However, I used to smoke!  In fact I smoked for 12 years.  It's not something I am proud of or happy I wasted all that money and all that time slowly killing myself.  Thankfully, it has been a year and half since I quit smoking, and I am so proud of myself. 

A couple of tips for you smokers out there read this before you try to quit:

Donating Hair Tips

I just want to make this clear.  It is not completely accurate that your hair has to be 12 inches and cannot be color treated hair to donate it.  There is an organization called 'Children With Hair Loss' that gives hair to children that are hairless.  In fact, I just got my hair cut the other day and I am donating 8 inches of layered hair to them.  My longest layer is 8 inches and my shortest is 4.  Please, pass the word on this subject.  There are millions of people that get their hair cut and it goes in the garbage.  Your hair does NOT have to be 12 inches long!

Have I said how much I love ALCOHOL?!  Not the kind you drink silly, the kind you clean with.  Well, I love it to the moon and back.  It cleans, disinfects and believe it or not it removes permanent marker!  So, here's the story:

Hot Rice Packs

At the beginning of the year and the start of my pain problems I made something that has been a life saver.  I remembered making something like these with my mom years ago and I cannot believe I went this long without making another one.  Anyway, I get these really bad, I mean so bad they thought I had the world's most painful disease muscle spasms in my neck.  The muscle spasms are so bad I am unable to do anything and if I move at all it makes it even worse. 

UPDATE #1

Ok, so to let you know what is going on and what is in store I will give you some tid bits!  I have my posts so that they will publish on all days divisible by 3.  What that means is that on the 3rd, 6th, 9th... And, so on I will publish something.  I have lots of recipes for cleaning, eating, easy and creative things for kids to do, ways to improve your home, marriage tips, religious tips and much, much more.  Needless to say I have lots of more tips to come.

Well, I am so excited to say that my niece 'J' is starting college this semester.  I am so proud of her!  She is such an amazing person, and I love her very much.  So, now that we know how much my wonderful niece means to me.  We understand that if I have the ability to, I will help her.  With this being her first semester at college Nate and I decided to buy her one of her books.  Well, as I learned in school it takes time for the scholarships and such to come in.  So, while she is waiting for those to come in she was not able to get her books.  What is worse than not being able to get your books at college?!

Save Money When Shopping...

I have my bachelors' degree in accounting, so numbers, are my friend!  And, I do say this WITHOUT sarcasm.  I HEART numbers!  One of my favorite things that I do to save money is to make out a weekly menu and put the shopping list right underneath the menu.  I admit it is not the prettiest thing I have.  However, there are weeks that we spend $50 on groceries.  I check the cupboards first to see if we have the ingredients for the menus, and a lot of the time we have all of the ingredients and do not need to buy anything.

GERM-A-PHOBE

Ok, so incase you did not know I am a 'GERM-A-PHOBE'!  I am a really bad 'GERM-A-PHOBE'. In fact it is so bad that I take rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle in my purse to drench the shopping cart during the winter. I also, spray the toys at the library and anywhere that may have germs... So, I spray my mixture just about everywhere.  I ended up buying one of those tiny spray bottle for $1.00 at the local grocery store in the 'health & beauty' section.

Cheap Fun

So, my son and daughter have been playing with one of my water pipe insulators for a while now.  I did not think anything of it until I threw it down the stairs, and it zoomed!  It made me think of the Nerf guns that are out there with the Styrofoam bullets.  It also, made me think of the swords that they have now that are Styrofoam.  I got a little creative on this one and thought about how much fun my kids would have.
