My son 'T' and daughter 'E' received a free balloon from the event we attended this past weekend.  My kids L-O-V-E balloons and think they are amazing.  Balloons are amazing, they float always trying to go higher and higher.  My favorite part of a balloons life is when they have just enough helium to make them stay right by you.  However, they do not last much longer after they reach the 'floating' part of their lifecycle.

Ok, so by now I am sure you are wondering what the link up above for 'Domestic Violence' is all about.  Well, I grew up in a not so friendly environment, and I would like to leave it at that.  As you can guess that specific enviornment has done some damage emotionally and mentally to me.  I have a temper unfortunately and I have been working on that for a while, until I discovered something just recently.

Homemade Laundry Soap

After throwing away my millionth liquid laundry soap container I decided there has to be a better way, AND THERE IS!!! Honestly, before talking to my friends I did not know that it was possible to make your own laundry detergent.  Never, in a million years did I ever think I would do something like that.  And, it has saved us so much waste and money.  At $2 for 10 gallons of laundry soap you can't beat that!

Modified Dog Leash

Don't get me wrong I love my Dog, but he does have a tendency to get on my nerves just a little bit.  We have had our dog Sir Didimus a Bichon Frise (pronounced as: Beeshon Frizay) for over a year now and in that time he has managed to chew through 3 collars.  In fact he chewed through the one that had his rabies tag on it and the rabies tag was lost.  Until, he got his shot again this year with a new tag. 

DVD Cord...

At the beginning of the year we bought a new DVD/Blu-Ray player and every once in a while it decides not to play...  So, it's a little annoying and discouraging since we bought it only 8 months ago.  And, of course it decides to go nutty well after we purchased it so there is no taking it back. 

Complimenting Your Spouse!

Lately, I have discovered that every time my husband says this one little phrase, it EMPOWERS me.  To be honest, I have no idea why.  And, to be even more honest I do not even know that if someone else said it that it would have the same effect.  Although, I do notice my husband saying this phrase more, but not too much.  I feel he says it when it is due and at the right times.  This one little phrase is so simple.  And, it made me think, if you know what phrase empowers you shouldn't your spouse say it to you?  Or, better yet do you even know what phrase would empower you?  Is there something that is said to you even during the smallest victories that could make you feel like climbing a mountain? 

Deer in Your Garden

I know that I have heard through the years that deer do not like it when certain things are sprayed on the plants that they like to eat.  Well, I have 2 apple trees, 6 blueberry bushes and 15 strawberry plants.  I have yet to get chicken wire to put around all of them.  In fact they are out in the open for anything and everything to eat them.  My apple trees look pitiful and I am pretty sure that the strawberry plants will not make it.  Let's just face it Krystal YOU DO NOT HAVE A GREEN THUMB.  However, that does not stop me AT ALL.  With a little food coloring and maybe a few green markers IT WILL BE GREEN!
